Only in Philadelphia

Our new hometown is such a great place! We hope you'll get a chance to explore and get a feel for the place. Here are just a few of our recommendations:

The signing of the Declaration of Independence happened right across the street from the hotel! Tickets only $1. Details can be found at the link provided.

Do a walk-by and see the bell from the window or spend some time in the museum and see the bell up close. Entry is free.

Must-see exhibit: Washington’s Tent. Museum tickets are $22 online or $24 walk-up. Turn left out of the hotel and two blocks down at 3rd and Chestnut.

The Hop On Hop Off bus tour is a great way to hit all the highlights of Philadelphia. (Coenraad coined the term Ho Ho Bus, so if you refer to it as that, people may look at you oddly.) Tickets are $36 and can be purchased online or right before you board. There’s a stop at The Bourse building: Right out of the hotel, right on 5th Street, and just up the block.

Similar to Ho Ho bus, but without the narrated tour. A $5 day pass will get you to all the sites, or take a $2 single ride and explore the way home on foot. Purchase tickets online or exact cash on boarding.

Art Museums

Use the above bus of choice, Uber, or take a nice long walk to get to one of Philly’s fabulous art museums: Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Barnes Foundation, and/or The Rodin Museum.

Fun filled events are being planned for the weekend, so stay tuned for all the details. The main event starts at 6pm on Saturday October 5th at the Hotel Monaco. We look forward to hosting friends from near and far in our latest hometown.
